George Hira at the young age of 16, entered into the world of business and trade. In 1954, he left his family and friends to start a new life in Hong Kong. He started working at an entry level position and faced much hardship in the beginning, but George never gave up. He learned many different types of businesses, such as: Import/Export, Insurance, and Mail Order. He also learned to speak the Cantonese dialect, quite fluently.
Over twenty-five years ago, George started his own custom-clothiers mail-order business from scratch. His customer following expanded, due to his ability to make customers happy by keeping his word and giving excellent service. He is very particular about details; George makes sure that the product he sells fits his customers like a glove. He has learned all the hidden secrets of measuring any Hard-to-fit person, inside and out.
In Hong Kong, George was constantly on top of his tailors, pinpointing each and every detail of customers' sizes, requirements, and specifications. No matter how Hard-to-fit his customers may be, he loves the challenge to graciously measure and satisfy those with a large body. He welcomes all sizes of people and says, "You are welcome, even if you are not Hard-to-fit!" He loves to measure very difficult posture people, and takes pride in satisfying those who are Hard-to-fit.
At the start of the new Millennium, George changed his company's name from Hira's Hong Kong Custom Tailors to "Hard-to-Fit.com". In the year 2000, the Computer Age, he thought of expanding and reaching more people who do not know how and where to find a good tailor. George will do anything to make his customers happy. He will even go to the customer's home or office and help them shop in their own comfort and privacy. He does not mind accepting appointments on Saturdays.
George's family background:

The oldest daughter, Mali is happily married to Steve Mohr and the younger daughter, Sarika, was married in June 2004 to Daniel Rivera. The daughters are very loving and close to the family.
